What happens when a delivery fails?

AwareGO expects your endpoint to respond with a success status promptly.

Retries. If a delivery doesn't succeed, AwareGO automatically retries it for a while before giving up. Retries happen for transient problems — no response at all, or a response indicating the receiver is temporarily unavailable. If your endpoint actively rejects the request (a client error such as bad request, unauthorized, or not found), it isn't retried, since retrying won't change the outcome.

Duplicates. Because deliveries can be retried, your endpoint may occasionally receive the same event more than once. Make your handler idempotent: metadata part will help you to recognize and skip events you've already processed.
